I set out to repair and repaint the mangled front bumper on my BMW Z4M Coupe — a part that’s no longer available from BMW. What started as a “last job before selling” might have turned into something else entirely. After months of trying to make this Z4M coupe work for me, I’ve decided it’s time to finish what I started and bring it to the condition I’d want if I were selling it. The biggest job on that list — repairing and repainting the cracked, no-longer-available front bumper cover, but I'll also tackle some other smaller restorations along the way. This turned into one of the most challenging and satisfying cosmetic projects I’ve done yet. I had to experiment with new repair methods and materials, and the results ended up surprising me.
