We've only just started building and setting up our Homestead, but by far the hardest part was figuring out how we were even going to find land to start it on. Our journey began almost ten years ago with an intention to become self-sufficient, sustainable-minded and have a go at living the Off-Grid dream. But we quickly discovered that all the good land was already gone, or WAY too far out of our price range. So, we had to to make some tough decisions... In this video we talk about the difference between the non-negotiable features of landscape versus the challenges we were willing to tackle to get started with our own piece of property, without blowing the budget, or moving to the middle of the outback.
