This year on her 16th birthday, Becca and her best friend Izzy light a special candle gifted to them by Gilbert, who runs the Olde Salem Magic Shoppe, the Black Flame candle, which resurrects the 17th-century Sanderson sisters from the dead, surprising Becca and Izzy, and sending them on a dangerous Halloween adventure. Winifred, Sarah, and Mary were the most powerful coven of their time before they were executed for practicing witchcraft and vowed to take their revenge on the town of Salem. The last time someone lit the Black Flame Candle was 29 years ago, and the trio of witches are eager for vengeance, but also to restore their looks…because, as all witches know, stealing the souls of children is the quickest way to a more youthful appearance.
