I can at times be very cynical on this channel, but at my core, I am someone that enjoys enjoying things. I have no desire to see a game fail, and I have no desire to play a game with the hope or even expectation that it will be bad. Both in my personal life, and in my professional life, I hold on to the idea that things could always turn around. After one year of Suicide Squad. I’ve lost hope. Normally, I critique games. I pick apart why I like something, and a year ago, I had intended to do the same thing with Suicide Squad. But as more content updates released, I found myself unable to commit to that. Because this game is more than a 10 hour campaign. It’s more than the controversy surrounding it, and it’s more than a product for someone to evaluate as either good or bad. Suicide Squad Kill The Justice League, was an experience that lasted a year. This video will chronicle that experience. My experience. But hey, we’ll still figure out what worked, what didn't, why, and what we can learn from it. This is Suicide Squad Kill The Justice League; 1 Year Later. The hype leading up to Suicide Squad was… minimal. There were plenty who knew Rocksteady's reputation, myself included, and stayed hopeful. These were the people that brought us the Arkham series; games that pushed the video game medium forward, and raised the bar for not just superhero games, but games as a whole. It was this reputation that led to many people being excited about the idea of suicide squad. When the game was first revealed, we only had cinematic to go off of and said cinematic looked great. Comments from the trailer are positive, and reactions were much the same. A year passed and we finally saw gameplay. This gameplay looked clean, but some were concerned at how gun heavy it was. Many assumed it would incorporate Arkham’s freeflow combat, but this could not be further from the truth. Not only did the showcased gameplay over the next year be more and more disappointing, it still looked like a far cry from what we would eventually get. Suicide Squad is an IP that has so much room for success, and yet, Suicide Squad Kill The Justice League, 1 Year Later, is a financial, critical, and spiritual flop. How could a Suicide Squad game get here? Based on the Suicide Squad cutscenes, Suicide Squad's addition of the Joker, Suicide Squad's Lawless explansion, the ,Suicide Squad Deathstroke DLC, and everything surrounding the Suicide Squad Ms Freeze controversey, it's clear that the Suicide Squad ending is a merciful end.
