After the martyrdom of Oruç Reis, his brother Khizr made a decisive move — placing Algiers under the Ottoman Caliphate. Under Suleiman the Magnificent, he became Khayr ad-Din, the Empire’s Grand Admiral. The documentary culminates in the legendary Battle of Preveza (1538), where Barbarossa defeated a much larger Holy League fleet, securing Ottoman dominance of the Mediterranean for decades.
