The first-generation GX arrived in North America in 2002 as a mid-luxury SUV force to be reckoned with. Lexus aficionados have hailed the company's famed off-road aptitude and ability to navigate tough terrain, transporting clients comfortably from errands to distant locations. The 2024 GX will be available in six trim levels: Premium, Premium+, Luxury, Luxury+, and two new to Lexus models, Overtrail and Overtrail+. When compared to the previous-generation GX, the total width rises by 3.74 inches (overtrail by 4.52 inches). To assist reduce any road accident, the Premium Triple Beam LED headlights and grille opening have been increased. For improved visibility, LED fog and cornering lighting are offered. To increase clearance, the front overhang has been reduced by 0.78 inch. The seamless grille and headlight integration command a commanding front presence. The all-new lower, horizontal instrument panel design that flows into the dash for a streamlined front and passenger seat experience, delivering superb front and side sight, is a significant advance over the previous generation model. It creates a clean, open area that connects the optional Head-Up Display (HUD) to the center, which houses the standard 14-inch Multimedia Touchscreen Display with Lexus Interface technology. All relevant off-road controls are located around the gear changer to assist limit possible driver distraction. The 2024 GX includes wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto integration, as well as a digital 12.3 Multi-Information Display (MID). The twin-turbo V6 generates 349 horsepower, which outperforms the previous generation V8's 301 horsepower, while torque output increases to a whopping 479 lb.-ft. The dual turbochargers provide smooth and consistent acceleration, allowing you to effortlessly manage power delivery on and off the road. Towing capacity with the basic tow hitch has been raised to 8,000 lbs. for Premium, Premium+, and Overtrail grades.
