This video dives into four forgotten legends that were too fast, too rare, and too wild for their own good. First up is the Ford RS200 Evolution, born out of the insane Group B rally era. With its mid-engine, all-wheel-drive setup and a Cosworth-built turbo engine, the RS200 Evolution produced up to 815 horsepower—nearly double what Ferrari and Lamborghini were making at the time. It could rocket from 0-60 mph in just over 3 seconds and even set a world record for acceleration. But after tragic crashes, Group B was banned, and the RS200’s potential was cut short. Only 24 Evolutions were ever made, making it one of the rarest Fords in history. Next is the RUF CTR “Yellowbird.” While Porsche focused on high-tech electronics with the 959, RUF stripped weight and added massive power to create a 211 mph monster. Its twin-turbo flat-six made close to 500 horsepower, and in 1987 it became the fastest car in the world. But the real legend was a video—test driver Stefan Roser sliding the Yellowbird around the Nürburgring in loafers—that turned the car into an icon of driving skill and raw performance. Then we look at the Alpina B7 S Turbo Coupé, a luxury BMW 6 Series transformed into a supercar killer. With 330 horsepower and 369 lb-ft of torque from a turbocharged inline-six, it could hit 162 mph while carrying the comfort of a grand tourer. Only 30 were ever built, making it one of the rarest Alpina creations and a hidden gem among German performance cars. Finally, the Callaway Twin-Turbo Corvette brought American muscle into the supercar fight. GM partnered directly with Callaway, giving them their own factory option code—RPO B2K. The result was a Corvette with 382 horsepower and 562 lb-ft of torque, faster than Ferraris and Lamborghinis of the era.
