Hello and welcome to my channel. My name is Russ, a life long carpenter. I am one of those fortunate people who knew what i wanted to do when i grow up from a very early age and have followed through with my dreams. My passion is making beautiful things from wood and I also like to dabble in the dark art of metalworking and other skills from time to time. This channel is about pushing the boundaries of my craft while making innovative, unique and interesting projects, I hope the content i make will inspire others to follow their dreams, try new ideas and make interesting projects of their own. Go find out more: https://bit.ly/3Ngliq8 The .step files for the hydraulic press will be available to download from my patreon page; https://www.patreon.com/newyorkshireworkshop The ovaled cylinder; obviously I would weld the flanges to cylinder BEFORE assembling the frame, the problem here was that I couldnt get access to weld the flanges all round the cylinder so just welded the sides where I could reach. This shrunk those opposing sides which pulled the cylinder into an oval shape. obviously the solution is to weld the flanges to the cylinder BEFORE assembling the frame, Lesson learned!
