Give it a try – it’s very rewarding 😊 Amazon.com apple cider vinegar, unfiltered, unpasteurized: https://amzn.to/3VAIMeW Amazon.ca apple cider vinegar, unfiltered, unpasteurized: https://amzn.to/3KKIkZ6 00:00 Intro to Making Wine Vinegar 00:18 Step ONE to Making Wine Vinegar 01:46 Step if you are using store bought wine 02:49 Step TWO adding apple cider vinegar 03:47 Step THREE, time to stir 05:45 Taste test of wine vinegar made 3 months prior Ingredients: • 1 bottle (750 ml) (25.36 oz) of homemade wine – or – store bought wine (red wine is preferred) • 250 ml (just over 1 cup) distilled water • 250 ml (just over 1 cup) unfiltered, unpasteurized, apple cider vinegar Process: 1) In a wide mouth jar, add the wine and the water – stir 2) If using store bought wine, or wine with sulfites, cover with a cloth or paper towel (can put an elastic around it to hold in place). Place in a dark place at room temp, and stir 2 – 3 times each day, for 2 days - this will help the sulfites dissipate. Note: If using homemade wine, with no sulfites, you can skip step 2 and go straight to step 3 3) Add the apple cider vinegar and stir using a plastic spoon, wooden spoon, or a silicone/plastic spatula (do not use a metal spoon) 4) Cover with a cloth or paper towel (can put an elastic around it to hold in place). Place in a dark place at room temperature, (i.e. such as in your kitchen cupboard) and stir 1 – 3 times a day, for 2 days, then just let sit, covered with the cloth or paper towel, for 3 months. 5) Enjoy Notes: • The ideal temperature to age/make your wine vinegar is anywhere from 65 degrees F to 80 degrees F (18 degrees C to 26 degree C) • If a film develops on top, no worries, just stir it in, or, if its been 3 months, you can remove it and add it to your next homemade wine vinegar batch • Fantastic to use for cooking, marinading and of course, on salads – and it’s a great gift giving idea too!! • PS do not worry about the alcohol, as we dilute it first with the water and then once we add the apple cider vinegar and the bacteria take over, it will eat away at the alcohol and bring it down to less than 1% or right down to 0% My Kitchen Gear Here are a few things I mentioned in the video.
