Today we're looking at the process of scanning something with a 3D scanner, importing the mesh into Autodesk Fusion, and using it as the basis for a CAD model. We'll scan a Precision Matthews PM-728 milling machine using a Creality RaptorX scanner, orient the mesh to the axes, construct planes, extract features using mesh selection sketches, and design parts to fit the machine.
