My Lenovo Legion Go Battery Upgrade Was RISKY But Worth It

I upgrade my Lenovo Legion Go with an 81Wh battery and put it to the test against the original 49.2Wh battery. I walk through the full process — from installing the larger battery and a custom backplate designed to fit it, to adding a 2280 SSD, and even reinstalling Windows using Lenovo’s USB recovery tool. I test how much extra playtime the bigger battery delivers, how long it takes to fully charge, and whether the upgrade is worth it. In my case, it worked — but that doesn’t mean it’s for everyone. ⚠️ Important Warning: According to Lenovo’s own safety and warranty guide, replacing the battery yourself is not recommended. Any non-Lenovo battery won’t be covered under warranty, and improper installation can be dangerous — including the risk of fire or explosion.
