The kids are at mom & dad's while I finish a few Christmas duties, as well as this video. I've got my favorite "holiday classics" playlist running on the Alexa, and I'm just looking around the kitchen at the holiday arts & crafts the kids have brought home, all taped to the cabinets. My eyes are just welling up with tears... gratitude over getting to experience Christmas through their eyes... and a little sadness remembering my own childhood Christmases with grandparents and other family members who are no longer with us. Life is always changing, isn't it? Here's to appreciating whatever season of life you find yourself in. Every day is a gift!
