Today I made 4 Dollar Tree meals without any refrigerated or frozen ingredients, very commonly I get comments from viewers who want to be able to try my recipes but their store doesn't have a fridge so hopefully this opens up some ideas and inspiration for pantry only meals that can be made. Even if it's not from dollar tree, these are quick affordable meals the family will enjoy. PO BOX 355 Jersey VA 22481 Recipes Shared: Blue Collar Belly Warmer ($7.50) Serves 6 Instant mashed potatoes (garlic or any flavor of choice) 2 cans of condensed vegetable beef soup 1 can of corn 1 can of peas 1 packet of biscuit mix (homestyle or cheddar garlic) Prepare instant potatoes per package instructions and spread them in an even layer on the bottom of a 9x13 baking dish. Layer over 2 cans of beef soup (do not dilute). Drain corn and peas and spread those over top. Season well with black pepper, if desired add additional garlic powder, onion powder, etc. Prepare biscuit mix (i like to add an extra splash of water than the package calls for) and spoon little dollops of biscuit dough over the top. Try to cover as much of the surface with biscuits as possible. Bake uncovered at 400 degrees for 20 to 25 minutes until the edges are bubbling and the biscuits are browned. One Pot Burrito Bowl ($7.50) Serves 4 1 bag of spanish rice 1 can of corn 1 can of black beans 2 cans of chicken 1 can of diced tomatoes and green chilies Optional toppings: queso, sour cream, cheese, fritos, tortilla chips, jalapenos drain all canned ingredients (rinse the beans) and add them to a rice cooker along with packaged spanish rice and 1 & 1/2 to 2 cups of water. Turn on the rice cooker (set to rice function if using a multicooker) and when your rice cooker is done your dinner is ready, top with any toppings of choice. I used Taco Sauce I got from dollar tree. Chicken a la king ($6.25) Serves 4 2 cans of chicken a la king 1 can of chicken 1 can of mixed vegetables 1 packet of biscuit mix (I prefer cheddar garlic) Prepare biscuit mix per package instructions but add an extra 1 to 2 tablespoons of water. in a skillet (or baking dish) pour in chicken a la king, drained chicken, and drained vegetables. Season well with pepper (can add additional seasonings if desired) spoon large biscuit dollops on top and bake at 400 degrees for 20 to 25 minutes until the edges are bubbling and the biscuits are brown. Pizza pasta salad ($7.50) serves 4 3 boxes of suddenly classic pasta salad 1 package of pepperoni 1 can of sliced olives 1 can of diced tomatoes Boil your pasta salad per the package instructions, and prepare the dressing separately. Cut pepperoni into quarters. if your diced tomatoes are not petite diced tomatoes then cut tomatoes down into smaller pieces. Rinse and drain tomatoes, but just drain the olives. Once pasta salad is cooked, chill in an ice bath if needing to use immediately. Toss pasta with dressing and add in mix ins. if you've got parmesan cheese add some but if not leave that out. Enjoy!
