We kick off Harvest ’25 Service Calls Episode 11 with a 9RX 640 that’s only got the front tracks pulling and a code for extremely low axle lube pressure. A quick look underneath confirms the worst — the pinion bearing is out, and this machine needs hauled in ASAP before it grenades the rear axle even worse. Back at the shop, we jump into a big list of repairs on the S780 combine, including: • Replacing the rotor bearing • Swapping chopper bearings • Installing a new fountain auger • Replacing the unloading augers Then it’s time for a road trip south to help out a fan of the channel with an S690 combine. The vertical auger splines sheared clean off, causing the vertical and horizontal augers to collide and snap the shear bolt.
