The Second World War brings new challenges as the Red Army fights against Nazi Germany and eventually takes Berlin. After the war, the Soviet Union remains a global superpower, embroiled in proxy wars and the Cold War, before suffering a humiliating defeat in the Afghan War and finally collapsing.
