Today, we are in the cockpit of an EA-18G Growler, tanking off the mighty KC-135 Stratotanker somewhere over the northern Arabian Gulf. Behold the Iron Maiden! You will see that once my probe is connected to the Iron Maiden, I have to push the hose up to make a "U" shape to take gas. The easy part is getting it in. The hard part is keeping it there. The sun was also a factor in this evolution. Even with my visor down, it's difficult to look into the sun and hold your position while in a turn in the basket.
