I think if you go any higher, it’s immediately something that people who don’t have PS5’s will feel is too expensive and people who already have one won’t be inspired to upgrade There’s precident for both outcomes unfortunately. PSPortal is priced perfectly at $200 but accessories like the PSVR2 and Pulse Explore are overpriced at $550 and $200 respectively Updates Sony has been really good about updates to the PS5 and honestly there aren’t a whole lot of features for them to add The first one that I really want though is themes. Every console that Sony has produced going back to the PS3 has included themes of some sort. They were awesome on the PS3 for sure but having the ability to install an endless amount of themes on my PSP was the best. I would have to go up to panera bread to get wifi because I didn’t have it at home yet and yeah, those 2 megabyte themes took a while to collect The PS4 themes were also really cool but I think they’re even cooler on the PS5 and what I mean is that when you put in a disk, most if not all games will show you a custom theme with a background, color change and music. At this point, all I’m asking Sony to do is let me rip those themes off the disk and apply them to the console itself. I get why it took so long because they had to launch the console while everyone was working from home and then they had to spend a couple years adding features it probably should have launched with but now those features are done and added so lets focus on themes. I’d also love them to add a way to play YouTube videos and/or pin them in the background. I know it’s a little iPad kid-like to want to watch YouTube while playing games but I want to be clear, I only want this for stuff like Fortnite, The Crew Motorfest or idk Avatar Frontiers of Pandora, you know, games that don’t have a super engaging story or anything like that. The interesting thing is you can already kind of do this by messaging a friend a youtube link and then opening it on your PS5 and pinning it to the screen, but that’s pretty cumbersome and I want to be able to switch back to the app, queue up the next video and then jump right back into the game. The only other way around this is to use something like the Pulse Explore or Inzone H7 which allows you to use bluetooth and the dongle at the same time but that’s an expensive alternative.
