As well, his new children's book Wild Outside won the National Best Non-Fiction (Yellow Cedar Award) and the Best National Informational Book award and took 2nd place for a Rocky Mountain and Hackmatack Book Award. He has also been nominated for Best Artist and Best Group by the International Acoustic Music Awards. In 2022 he was named Canada’s Chief Scout and his film work has been nominate a record 30 times by the Canadian Screen Awards winning 4.
