Born in 1938, Nobel prize nominee Ngugi wa Thiong’o wrote his first book while still a student at Makerere University in the early sixties. He has since gone on to pen a hoard of widely acclaimed books, including "Weep Not,Child", "Decolonising the Mind", "I will Marry When I want" and "Wizard of the Crow". Professor Ngugi has repeatedly been tipped for the prestigious Nobel Prize for Literature since 2010.
