Across this now vine-covered valley, on an October morning in 1854, bugles blared. Moments later, 666 cavalrymen surged forward, unaware they were riding straight into disaster. A fatal miscommunication had set them on a doomed charge into Russian guns, down a place now known as ‘the valley of death.’ This is the story of the Charge of the Light Brigade.
