The Netherlands claims to have the best fries in the world — and apparently, there’s now proof. Dapp Frietwinkel in Utrecht just won the title of “Best Fries in the World” in the “Most Authentic” category, beating out fry shops from Belgium, France, and beyond. Naturally, we had to investigate. So we headed to Utrecht to try Dapp’s famous hand-cut fries, made from organic Dutch potatoes and double-fried the traditional way and lvored wr hin of rosemary. Then, in the name of science (and salty carbs), we brought the experience back home and compared Dapp’s fries with our local fry shop. Are they really that much better?
