My Tiny Estate™ is Dean Poulton & Borja De Maqua. We purchased a run down British Estate and are slowly turning it back into something special. It is keeping us busy! Our YouTube channel is all about sharing our journey and the hints and tips we learn along the way. 📺 TV Show ‘Saving the Manor’ on @hgtv @discoveryplus & @streamonmax
Video Description
In its heyday, My Tiny Estate had a small army - ten live-in staff plus a team of gardeners - to keep the estate and its formal and working gardens in tip top shape. These days? It’s just the two of us, juggling endless maintenance, nonstop renovations, full-time work, and a baby. Spring has sprung, and with it comes the annual gardening frenzy. There’s never enough time but tending to the land has a way of slowing us down, at least long enough to pick produce, dig for potatoes, harvest the blackcurrants and reflect. In this episode, we look back at the growing season, what we planted, what we harvested, and what we stress-snacked on in between. We’re trying to exercise and eat healthier, but we’re also not giving up our favorite British indulgences. Ever heard of blackcurrant cordials? If not, you’ll want to try one after watching Dean work his magic. It may not qualify as a health tonic, depending on how much sugar is involved, but it heals the soul!
