Sometimes life hits harder than we can imagine. A kind lady reached out to me and said her life feels like a country song right now. Her husband passed away almost two years ago, and now she’s raising her daughter and grandkids with no man around the house. She told me her yard had gotten completely out of control and when I showed up, she wasn’t exaggerating. The grass was taller than the fence, the sides of the house were overrun, and the backyard was so thick I couldn’t even take “before” pictures until I cut my way back there. This transformation was full of challenges hidden hoses, a kids playhouse being swallowed by grass, and 100+ degree heat that made every step tougher. But after hearing her story, there was no way I was walking away. This project took me two days, but in the end, it was worth every drop of sweat to bring a little joy back into her life.
