This Wall Street legend was able to quit his 9-5 already at the age of 15 to become a full-time day trader. At 30 he earned his first million dollars right in the midst of the 1907 Banker’s Panic. In 1929 he became one of the richest persons in America as he shorted the stock market at the onset of the Great Depression. And both in between an after all this, he went completely broke a couple of times. I think few other traders have had a more fascinating life than Jesse Livermore. A life filled with joy & despair, accomplishments & mistakes, fortunes & bankruptcies, and quite a few wives & mistresses.
