Video Description

Udupi is famous for its incredible food, and I finally made it here! In this video, I take you on the ultimate Udupi food tour, tasting some of its most iconic dishes. I start at Mitra Samaj, one of the city’s oldest eateries, to try the original Masala Dosa - the dish that put Udupi on the food map - along with the crispy, fluffy Mangalore Buns. Next, I stop by Laxmi Coffee for a proper South Indian filter coffee experience. Then, I dive into Chow Chow Bhath at Hotel Trivedi, a delicious mix of sweet and savoury semolina that locals swear by. At Sudhama, I discovered Pathrode, a unique dish made from colocasia leaves and spice-packed masala. Of course, no Udupi food tour is complete without seafood! I finish at Hotel Thimmappa, indulging in a variety of fresh coastal fish, like Disco fish and Kingfish, that showcase Karnataka’s rich culinary heritage. 📍 Places Visited: ✅ Mitra Samaj – Masala Dosa & Mangalore Buns ✅ Laxmi Coffee – Filter Coffee ✅ Hotel Trivedi – Chow Chow Bhath ✅ Sudhama – Pathrode ✅ Hotel Thimmappa – Fresh Fish What’s your favourite South Indian dish?
