You've already seen a few chippers on our channel, but this time we decided to do it a little differently. The screw mechanism is easier to make and can be done without a lathe. I used a 35mm drawn steel roller and 5mm plate sheet. The pipe has an outer diameter of 160 mm and a wall thickness of approximately 5 mm. In the video you can see that 4 or 5 cm thick branches are not a problem. I think thicker branches would have been chipped as well, but I didn't want to damage the machine, so I didn't try thicker pieces. The motor has a power of 3 kW / 4 hp, 1400 rpm. The gearbox reduces the rotation by 7 times, so the shaft rotates at 200 rpm.
