Luxembourg's unique citizenship laws, where descent restrictions don't apply, allow generations of descendants to reclaim their citizenship. With a bit of research and some paperwork, my family and I successfully reclaimed our Luxembourgish citizenship, opening up a world of opportunities within the European Union. While there are third-party agencies that will guide you through the process (for a hefty fee), if you have a simple case (i.e. all-male lineage through at least 1969), you can absolutely DIY the process.
