That the 200 year old tradition of obsessing over your child's appearance has a direct link to today's "almond mom" and the toxic diet culture of the 1990s and early 2000s. While it feels like society is still missing steps in the name of progress, I guess, ironically, we can definitely see how we've made some improvements, at least when it comes to how media speaks to children.
