About

Hosted by master carpenter Norm Abram, who is legendary for his woodworking skills, The New Yankee Workshop has guided millions of viewers through the hands-on process of furniture making. Working in a 936-square-foot workshop, Norm would complete a typical episode of The New Yankee Workshop in two days. He did all the work himself, using an assistant only for clean up and finishes. Each episode in the series offers step-by-step instructions for building furniture and other woodworking projects.

Video Description

You can find Norm using hand tools in The New Yankee Workshop, but we are not proud of the way they are stored. That's about to change when Norm builds a woodworker's hanging tool chest. But it won't be like the one he finds in a private collection in Wisconsin. There he discovers one of the most magnificent examples of a wall mounted tool chest ever made, so impressive in fact, that it has been displayed in the Smithsonian Museum. Returning to the shop, Norm builds his version of a hanging storage chest for the hand tools he regularly uses. _This is an HD version created using an AI program._ Season: 15 | Episode: 13 Original Air Date: March 29, 2003 To purchase the measured drawing: https://www.newyankee.com/episode/wall-mounted-tool-chest/ Visit our website at: https://www.newyankee.com _The New Yankee Workshop_ is a co-production of Morash Associates, Inc. and WGBH Boston #NewYankeeWorkshop #NormAbram #woodworking #howto
