Welcome to Kazakhstan 🇰🇿 – a world so different from China! Crossing the border, we immediately noticed how much had changed — the food, the language, the culture, even the traffic rules. Our Russian isn’t perfect, but that didn’t stop us from meeting an incredibly warm and hospitable Kyrgyz couple selling fruits and vegetables by the roadside near Almaty. We spent the entire afternoon together, sharing food, stories, and laughter in this peaceful corner of Kazakhstan. Later, we arrived in Almaty – Kazakhstan’s largest and most vibrant city, where we met our local friends Akbar and Nikita. They gave us a beautiful glimpse into daily life, traditions, and modern culture in Almaty.
