Introvert characteristics like craving solitude and quietness are seen in a less favorable light. As an introvert, I’ve struggled with this my whole life. Why couldn’t I be as outgoing as others? I felt handicapped by my personality. Over time, I developed better social skills, even to the point that extroverts confused me for one of them. But I always maintained a desire to spend a good chunk of my time on my own. And over the years, I’ve come to appreciate solitude more and more and even started seeing it as a superpower! So today I want to give an introvert’s perspective on the power of being alone. If you’re someone who feels pressured to be more outgoing than you’re comfortable with, I hope this video will encourage you to stay true to your values and not deny yourself what you deeply crave inside. And if you’re a total people person and were dumbfounded when you first found out your partner or friend enjoys doing something dull like spending time alone, this video might give you some insight into their reasons. And that alone time can be good for anyone, introvert or extrovert.
