From fuel starvation on steep descents to unexpected transfer case failures and locker issues, the 392 had more reliability concerns than I was comfortable with. And for a vehicle that’s supposed to be the most capable Wrangler ever built, that was a dealbreaker. Was it fun? Absolutely. But was it the right tool for serious off-road adventures?
