Something America 🇺🇸 does that genuinely shocked me in a very good way is what parents have to do before going on a school trip. Here in Florida, you can’t just show up — parents and volunteers are fingerprinted and background checked at a federal level weeks in advance of being allowed to attend. That was NEVER required in the UK 🇬🇧 when my children were in school there. I’m not sure if this is just a Florida rule or something that applies across the entire US, so if you know, please comment below.
