A few games added extra challenging modes, but for the most part these were just minor variations to the original. Super Mario Bros substituted some enemies, and Ghost N' Goblins instated that you replay it a second time. The Legend of Zelda wasn't like those at all - Once you complete the game, the developers included an all new Second Quest! The dungeons were completely new, the overworld had a new layout, there were new enemies, and even a new dungeon mechanic that lets Link walk through walls! Adding this much extra content was practically unheard of at the time, but Nintendo was known for going above and beyond.
