Pinaki Bhattacharya is a Bangladeshi writer, activist, and social thinker living in exile in Paris. His debut novel, Fulkumari: The Tale of a Refugee and a Rat in Pandemic Paris, published by PICT Books in 2025, became an Amazon bestseller. A physician and MBA graduate from Sorbonne Business School, Pinaki works as a marketing professional at a Fortune 500 French multinational while pursuing a PhD in Political Economy of Contemporary Capitalism. Formerly active in Bangladesh’s Leftist student movement, he is a prominent voice for democracy and human rights, with 19 non-fiction books to his name. He is followed by millions on YouTube, Facebook, and Twitter, where he regularly critiques authoritarianism and advocates for justice. His writings and videos are widely read by students, activists, and citizens worldwide. Through both literature and activism, Pinaki remains a bold and inspiring voice for the voiceless.
