Her initial intention was to briefly stop in Vancouver to leave her luggage at her residence before continuing to Buenos Aires, Argentina. However, she had no idea that her trip would unexpectedly last for 1028 days. Shortly after arriving in Vancouver, a complex legal and hostage dispute involving China, the United States, and Canada erupted.
