Welcome to my channel! My name is Martin and this is an aviation channel. I started taking pictures of planes in 2005 and in 2011 I tested the video function of my new DSLR camera. I uploaded the video on youtube just for fun and it reached almost 3 Million views. (crosswind landings). As a result I decided to concentrate on making videos of planes. I was very surprised by the hugh amount of feedback I received within the past four years. I never thought I could reach such a hugh amount of people just by sharing my passion on youtube. On this channel you can find Aviation videos, made by myself. My "homebase" is Düsseldorf but I like to travel around a lot. That` s why I also upload videos from St. Martin, St. Barth, Skiathos, Amsterdam and other airpots which offer interesting oportunities to create interesting footage. I prefere to make videos of rare planes like Ilyushins, Tupolevs, old Boeings and classic Douglas planes.
Video Description
I was trying to film this Airbus A330 Freighter of Turkish Cargo which is quite rare at Amsterdam. While filming the A330 a bird control vehicle on the ground somehow managed to match the exact speed of the A330 on the runway and even when I finally got a clear view on the Airbus the vehicle stopped and blocked the view on the A330 again :D. Quite funny situation at Amsterdam that day. I filmed at Schiphol for a few hours and actually my main goal was to finally catch at least one Singapore B747-400 freighter because two of them were expected that day. Sometimes you can` t film all planes which are arriving at Amsterdam because they have six runways and you never know if they end up at the runway where you are waiting. Luckily this time bothe Singapore Jumbos arrived on the Polderbann and I filmed them. You never know how long these B747` s will continue to operate. Recently Schiphol announced to ban all Jumbos until 2025 due to noise.
