B2Gold Targets 750,000 oz Growth as Goose, Back River and Gramalote Advance

B2Gold (TSX: BTO; NYSE American: BTG) is building a multi-asset growth platform anchored by its Goose Project in Nunavut. First gold was poured in June, with commercial production expected in Q4 and ramping toward 300,000 ounces per year. Speaking with Kitco Mining at Mining Forum Americas 2025, President and CEO Clive Johnson said, “We build mines very well. That’s the history of B2Gold.” Exploration spending is a major focus this year, with a US$64 million company-wide budget, half of which is allocated to Goose and the Back River area. Johnson highlighted strong targets across the district, underscoring the project’s future potential. Near term, B2Gold is preparing a low-capital trucking initiative to bring ore 20 kilometers into the Goose mill. Once permitted, this would add 180,000 ounces per year to the production profile without building a second plant. In Colombia, B2Gold recently consolidated 100% ownership of the Gramalote project, which is engineered for 240,000 ounces annually over a 14-year mine life. The feasibility study outlined US$750 million in upfront capital with all-in sustaining costs below US$1,000 per ounce. Johnson said, “It’s a very solid project,” and noted the economics improve significantly at today’s gold prices. Together, the projects represent roughly 750,000 ounces of new production capacity for B2Gold.
