Republican senators called for the impeachment of US District Court Chief Judge James Boasberg in response to a newly released court order related to the FBI's Arctic Frost probe that barred a cell phone carrier from informing one of the lawmakers that their phone logs had been subpoenaed. Sen. Ted Cruz (R-Texas), one of nine GOP lawmakers whose cell metadata was sought by the FBI, produced the court order during a press conference on Wednesday that revealed nearly 200 subpoenas were issued over the course of the probe targeting the "entire Republican political apparatus." "Now, one might ask ordinarily: A phone company being asked to hand over the phone records of a sitting senator would notify that senator.
