The addition of Brown Butter, french term Beurre Noisette, is incorporated with Matcha Green Tea powder to create a moist and aromatic cake. When baking the cake it will surely enrich your kitchen with the most aromatic smells. Perfect with a cup of Tea! @@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@ Ingredients:- • 150G Butter • 65G Flour • 65G Almond Powder • 2 Eggs • 120G Sugar • 1/2tsp Vanilla Paste (or extract) • 10G Matcha Green Tea Powder • Appropriate amount of Melted Butter • Appropriate amount of Flour Method:- 1. Pre-heat the oven at 175C 2. Place the butter in a medium pot over medium-low heat and bring to a boil. 3. Stirring constantly, continue to cook the butter for 5-6mins or until you can smell a nutty aroma. 4. Once the butter has browned strain keep the liquid and discard the solids left behind. 5. Let the brown butter cool at room temperature. 6. Meanwhile prepare a 15cm cake ring by lining parchment paper.* 7. Melt some butter and using a pastry bush, coat the sides as well as the bottom of the cake ring. 8. Dust some flour inside and coat around the pan making sure majority of the side and surface is coated well. 9. When the butter has come to room temperature, whisk the Flour and Matcha Powder together. 10. Add eggs to a medium bowl and whisk to combine. 11. Add in the sugar and whisk until well combined. 12. Add in the Almond Powder and whisk until well combined. The mixture should be a little thick. 13. Using a spatula lightly fold in the Flour mixture until combined.** 14. Add in cooled Brown Butter and lightly fold to combine.** 15. Pour into the prepared cake ring and smooth out the top. 16. Bake at 175C for 30mins.*** 17. Take out and let cool before removing from pan. 18. Once cooled dust with icing sugar. 19. Enjoy! Notes:- *You can also use a cake pan of the same size. Line the bottom with parchment paper and proceed to steps 7 and 8. **Careful not to over mix the batter when adding in the Flour and Brown Butter. *** To check if the cake is ready, insert a skewer in the middle and if it comes out clean then it is done.
