Having used a tripod for 8 years now, an upgrade was inevitable. But a ceiling-mounted camera gantry is something you cannot buy, so you have to build it yourself. It was an enjoyable project with many machined parts, giving me plenty of practice in achieving close tolerance fits. And, of course, I got some inspiration from other creators doing a similar build.
