It’s been one of those weeks… three car breakdowns, a workshop full of jobs, and a much-needed bacon sandwich to keep things going. In this episode, I share a slice of real workshop life — from small repairs and everyday making to a beautiful owl carving by Dave, one of my evening class students. After the carving’s complete, Dave takes a torch to the finished piece, scorching the surface to bring out the grain and texture in a dramatic six-minute sequence set to gentle guitar music.
