Before he knew it, he found himself with a busy schedule! So when he was 18, he decided to go to barber school. Fast forward to 2011, and Luna’s Barbershop came to life. Ivan says he wants to give people a quality experience like how barbershops used to be back in time. He’s all about bringing back the classic charm of old-school barbershops, taking inspiration from eras like the 1920s, 30s, and 40s. He does have a section in his barbershop dedicated to a later era… he is a big fan of 80s movies like Karate Kid! Luna's Barbershop is the gem of Carthage. An avid collector of anything barbershop-related, Ivan and his barbershop is a true time capsule of antique barber chairs, trinkets and photographs from a bygone era ✨ Inside Luna’s Barbershop, you’ll see a Victorian barber chair from New York. Purchased at an auction, this is Ivan’s favorite piece in his collection.
