🇧🇪 Wow! We had no expectations of this place except somewhere that might have some nice architecture. We we're right, but there was also so much more! If you havent considered travel to Ghent, Belgium 🇧🇪 you NEED to add it to your list! 👉Gravensteen Castle — the medieval fortress smack in the city centre. Brutal history, great views, goofy audio guide if you want it. 👉St. Bavo’s Cathedral — home of The Adoration of the Mystic Lamb, arguably the most stolen artwork in history. 👉Belfry of Ghent — climb it or don’t; the view is the whole point. 👉 St. Michael’s Bridge — the postcard shot of Ghent. Go at sunset if you want your reel to perform. 👉 Korenlei & Graslei — canal-side medieval guild houses. Linger with a drink or hop on a boat tour. 👉 Patershol District — narrow cobblestone streets, good restaurants, worth wandering. 👉 Graffiti Street (Werregarenstraat) — constantly changing tags; 30 seconds of interest tops, but good for B-roll. 👉 Vrijdagmarkt Square — old trade square with big history and good terraces. 👉 Museum of Fine Arts (MSK) — classical art, calm space. 👉 SMAK — contemporary art that’ll poke your brain a little. 👉 STAM (Ghent City Museum) — genuinely useful if you care about how the city evolved. 👉 Design Museum Gent — if you’re into interiors and objects. 👉 Portus Ganda — quieter canal area, good morning walk spot. 👉 De Krook Library — striking modern architecture, looks great in photos. 👉 Try Ghent Waterzooi — the local stew; chicken or fish, your call. 👉 Night walk through the Lit Ghent Route — the city’s lighting design is world-class.
