The focus of my video is on East Asia, but beauty standards in Asia in general are deeply rooted in colonisation, in which classist and eurocentric beauty ideals have often lead to a lot of Asian self hate, feelings of inferiority and contradictions between ethnic beauty traits and European ideals.
