I found the game to be woefully average when I first played it. Not bad at all, but nothing that really wowed me. After a few playthroughs, my opinion hasn't changed, wow-factor wise. But I found myself enjoying it a lot more when I accepted it for what it was rather than what I think most of us wanted it to be.
