Building a Beautiful Custom Semi Hollow Electric Guitar | Sapele, Bubinga, Bois De Rose, Flamed Maple + 2 x Vintage Voiced Humbuckers | Full Build In this video, I take you through the full process of creating a custom set-neck semi hollow electric guitar that brings together the natural beauty of exotic woods and fine handcrafted details. This build features a carefully selected combination of woods — a Sapele neck, back and sides, Bubinga top, and a vibrant Bois de Rose fretboard, all accented with flamed maple binding and accent pieces to create natural contrast and highlight the guitar’s elegant lines. Throughout the build, I use a variety of techniques to bring out the best in these materials, from precise carving and binding work, to applying a finish that really makes the colors and grain come alive. To give this guitar its voice, I’ve installed a set of classic @BKPickups Humbucker pickups for that warm, punchy rock tone, paired with a comfortable 24.6” scale length for easy playability.
