How to properly cook a steak in an air fryer using Chef Cristian's technique for perfect steak!

You can achieve a perfect steak by using your air fryer, as long as you follow this simple technique! With other ways of cooking steak, like roasting in the oven, using the grill, or frying them in a skillet, you need to bring the steak up to room temperature before you start cooking in order to achieve a properly seared outside and a perfect temperature inside the steak. With air fryers, you have to do the opposite - you have to start out with a cold steak. We do this in order to give the air fryer enough time to sear and brown the outside of the steak without over-cooking the inside of the steak. By adding butter, we also double up the browing and flavor on the outside of the steak and add to the juiciness of the steak.
