Each state will have one dominant biome—grass, desert, snow, jungle. Once we begin, you will be spawned into your biome with the rest of your state citizens. You will then have the freedom to do anything—gather resources, build a village, elect a leader, decide rules, give your nation a name, etc. Each day, you will only have one hour to play. The Minecraft server will only be up from 7pm EST to 8pm EST everyday. However you can still communicate with your team 24/7 with this Discord server. The server is hardcore. If you die, you die forever. In the first few days, there will be borders between the states. Later, the borders will open, and citizens will be able to cross into each others' territories. War is not required, but it is a strategy for becoming the most dominant state.
