If you like regular arrest content, be sure to check out our other channel @ArrestCam A Washington Department of Fish and Wildlife officer responded to a tip claiming commercially harvested Dungeness crabs were delivered undersize. According to reports, the final count was 500 crabs totaling 714 pounds, approximately 18% of the vessel’s total offload. The total value of the seized crab totaled over $5,000. We are still attempting to obtain court records, but each crab can be considered a Gross Misdemeanor violation with a maximum fine of $5,000 and a year in jail. The case could have also been classified as a Class C felony as the total value was over $250. At the time of the violation, commercial crab prices were the highest they had been in years. Once additional information is obtained, we will pin a comment and make a community post. If you like this video and want to see more like it, Subscribe to Arrest Cam.
